Senior presentation
Start off with an introduction, a really good song, famous obviously.

Tell me what makes them so special.
Intro to powerpoint
Songwriting- What is the best way to make a song that will generate the most money.
Go into reasons.
-Structure
-Melody
-Lyrics
Talk about lyrics first, then melody then struture.
Lyrics will talk about how the story is created and melded by verses bridges and chorusi.
What your song is about and what it means depends on your lyrics, with lyrics your song cannot be relatable to. Teach them how to make lyrics.

It is the essence of your song musically. Melodies fill the song with interesting licks, hooks, etc.
It makes your memorable, classic melodies include Michael jacksons beat it and so on.

Well if it feels complete, and has a structure that match the song, then its most likely done

When judging a song what do you look for?
I look for something I've selom heard before, something that will catch my ear
and remember 3 days from now.
How does music theory play a role in commercial music?
It makes song making simplistic. If you know the nesscery steps you don't have to do much
to make a good song.
What is the role of contrast in a piece?
To create a sort of tensions creating movement in a piece
How can a piece of music be original?
You can't truly be original but, you can be unique in a way you do something.

To create life and energy, to make a song more than stagnate

Third interview
1) How do you obtain the cleanest tone for performance?
Put in alot of hours, sustaining pitch, create strength for notes, such as holding down the string with strength, sustain clean notes, precision.
2) How do you achieve sound balance?
Everyone should listen to the bass, thats they key, The rhythm sets the balance.
3) Is there any technology that is used to improve sound?
Sound engineers sometimes use reverb or remove to make a cleaner sound.
4) How do you modulate into the next section?
By moving the leading tones.
5) How do you create something that sounds full without sounding busy?
Most of the time its a balance issue. Make sure the characteristics of your instruments are in order
, a violin sound like a violin. Pitch and balance is used to make the sound full.

2 verses 3-4 chorus

3-5 melodies at a time

Creative Art
Topic: Songwriting
E.Q.: What is the best way to build a song that will generate alot of money
Idea:
I have a guitar that i only every wanted to use for its pick ups.
I was thinking of making it totally rad by sanding it and making the
creation my own. I want to do alot of aesthetics so the guitar, maybe
like insignias and stuff, spray paint my bands name on and repaint it.
I want to maybe screw in some panels in the back so it can stick on a wall.
Before you freak out the repair costs of this instrument is way more than
cost to buy a brand new one.
How does it relate?:
The guitar relates to my essential question because it is one of the most important
instruments is the guitar. The guitar has created a revolution of music. It
can be traced to a majority of famous bands. This instrument can generate cash!$!

Make an amazing song with the program garageband, this will incorperate all the ideas I have learned from my research. Create it with added stuff like ghost notes, structure, melodies, etc. Its will be a complete song of around 3 minutes.
How does it relate?
My whole senior project is on songwriting, and what better way to express that than through a song.
