The intro to each slide, I think I hit it very hard.

Senior presentation
Start off with an introduction, a really good song, famous obviously.
Sponge activity- Get into groups and name me some of the best songs you've heard (any genre)
Tell me what makes them so special.
Intro to powerpoint
Songwriting- What is the best way to make a song that will generate the most money.
Go into reasons.
-Structure
-Melody
-Lyrics
Talk about lyrics first, then melody then struture.
Lyrics will talk about how the story is created and melded by verses bridges and chorusi.
What your song is about and what it means depends on your lyrics, with lyrics your song cannot be relatable to. Teach them how to make lyrics.

Teach the audiance how to make lyrics
Melody
It is the essence of your song musically. Melodies fill the song with interesting licks, hooks, etc.
It makes your memorable, classic melodies include Michael jacksons beat it and so on.
Show them how to loop on garageband

Make something on garageband.
Structure
My answer to my eq. Go in depth about how companies use a formulated structure for pretty much everyone of their songs. Explain about how the companies are making billions. Show them classic examples. Show them what it is.

With a low volume and in parts that need them like breakdowns and bridges and ending choros's generally.
When do you know if something is a complete piece?
Well if it feels complete, and has a structure that match the song, then its most likely done

Structure, Structure, Structure, without that your song is just a mess, It can't
go on the radio.
How do you structure your songs?
Usally verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus-chorus
this makes song writing easy because I only need three parts.

Its a handfull but it works amazing.
What makes good lyrics?
There truly is no such thing as good lyrics but, lyrics that are relatable is a good start.
What is it that companies are looking for in an artist?
Yound, attractive, talented and musicians that have proved themselves to make a fan base already.
When judging a song what do you look for?
I look for something I've selom heard before, something that will catch my ear
and remember 3 days from now.
How does music theory play a role in commercial music?
It makes song making simplistic. If you know the nesscery steps you don't have to do much
to make a good song.
What is the role of contrast in a piece?
To create a sort of tensions creating movement in a piece
How can a piece of music be original?
You can't truly be original but, you can be unique in a way you do something.
What is the role of dynamics in a piece?
To create life and energy, to make a song more than stagnate
What is 3rd's harmony?
Erd's harmony is a third above the root note played together
What exactly is autotune?
It is what it sounds like, it automaticaly tunes a note
Why doesn't contemporary music modulate?
Because it is contemporary music, normal listerners dont appreciate that stuff, I can play
four chords over and over with a different melody and they won't notice the difference.
How important is name for the music and band?
It is what recognizes yourself as a musician pick one wisely.
What is an 808?
It is a sound pad that creates a deep bass.
What is the sound quality difference between a cheap chord and a well built one?
The difference is like a pick up upgrade for your guitar

To be honest, the voice is the main part, it is face to name recognition and that is whats important, but for music as a whole each instrument is equally important.
